Postdoc Position – Taneyhill Lab, University of Maryland (near Washington DC)

A position (#123768) is available immediately for a Postdoctoral Scholar to contribute to our multidisciplinary studies aimed at elucidating the molecular basis of chick neural crest and placode cell development. The postdoc will conduct independent research and assist in the training of students in the laboratory of Dr. Lisa Taneyhill at the University of Maryland.

Laboratory skills: Molecular biology and biochemical assays (e.g., recombinant DNA/cloning; DNA, RNA, and/or protein blotting); immunohistochemistry; and/or in situ hybridization. Experience with microscopy and spectroscopy, chick embryology (including microdissections and electroporation), and tissue culture is desirable. Qualifications: An advanced degree (Ph.D.) in Developmental, Molecular and/or Cell Biology is required. Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
