Postdoc position: Links between the extra-embryonic and foetal vascular systems
Posted by Isabelle Migeotte, on 1 February 2022
Location: Brussels
Closing Date: 30 June 2022
Mammalian embryos rely on the connection to the yolk sac via the vitelline vessels, then the placenta via the umbilical cord. Experiments will characterise the vitelline and umbilical circulation through live imaging, transcriptomic, proteomic, and pharmacological approaches, and assess the impact of anomalies of the link between maternal and embryo circulation on the foetal cardiovascular system.
Profile
The postdoctoral fellowship is open to:
-Researchers with a doctoral degree acquired within the last 5 years; experience in developmental and/or vascular biology, imaging, and/or single cell sequencing would be an advantage.
-Researchers in an international mobility situation, who have not resided or carried out their main activity in Belgium for more than 24 months during the three years preceding the starting date.
Offer
A three-years contract with a competitive salary, ideally starting before September 2022
