SMBE satellite meeting: Evolution of Reproduction
Posted by Paulo Navarro-Costa, on 22 April 2022
What are the origins of sexual reproduction? How does evolution constrain the function of reproductive cells? What can evolution teach us about infertility? These are some of the big questions that have confounded life scientists for centuries. The SMBE Evolution of Reproduction meeting will attempt to cast a new perspective on these fundamental topics by bringing together experts in evolution, developmental biology and infertility, under the auspices of an interdisciplinary approach to sexual reproduction. This meeting is particularly targeted to early career stage professionals and is open to a diversity of backgrounds and perspectives, so as to broaden discussions and enhance the possibility of collaborations across different disciplines.
