A Postdoctoral Researcher Position in Ovarian Reserve Formation and Maintenance

The Lei Lab at the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health,

University of Missouri School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to investigate the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying ovarian reserve formation and maintenance in mammals.

The research in the Lei lab focuses on ovarian reserve formation, maintenance, and the associated female reproductive health issues. We are particularly interested in intercellular polarity-mediated organelle transport in oocyte differentiation; RNA storage and organelle organization-mediated oocyte quiescence. The Lei lab utilizes broad cellular and molecular experimental approaches, including genetically modified mouse models, in vitro organ culture, genomic and proteomic analyses, advanced imaging, and single-cell analysis.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in biological science. Previous research experience in cell biology, developmental biology and reproductive biology using genetically modified mouse models is preferred. For prompt consideration, please send a brief description of previous and current research interests, a CV and the names and contact information of three references to Dr. Lei Lei, PhD, Associate Professor, Email: lln34@health.missouri.edu
