Job type: PhD

Location: Institute for Research on Cancer and Aging Nice (IRCAN UMR7284, U1081)

Closing Date: 3 November 2023

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to study hematopoietic stem cell formation during development. We are focusing on DNA and RNA sensors and their role in hematopoietic stem cell development (Clapes et al., Nature Cell Biology 2021, Lefkopoulos et al., Immunity 2020). We use zebrafish and mice as model organisms, but also resort to cell culture to understand the mechanistic aspects of in vivo phenotypes (Trompouki et al., Cell 2011, Choudhari et al, Nature Genetics 2020)). The standard techniques we use are FACS analysis and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, genome-wide techniques such as ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, CLIP-seq, in vivo microscopy as well as classical molecular biology and biochemistry techniques.
