Postdoc in development, evolution, and regeneration at UPENN

Posted by , on 20 December 2023

Location: University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, USA

Closing Date: 15 February 2024

Sweating is the major mechanism for thermoregulatory cooling in humans, making the human sweat gland an organ that is indispensable for human survival. A major focus of research in the Kamberov lab is to identify the genetic and cellular drivers of sweat gland formation and patterning, to discover how and when these were modified to generate the unique human thermoregulatory system, and to apply this knowledge in the development of therapeutic strategies to regenerate sweat glands for wound repair. Part of the Genetics Department in the Perelman School of Medicine, the Kamberov lab is recruiting to fill a post-doctoral position in these research areas.

Interested applicants should send a CV, contact information of references and a letter detailing your interest in the position to Yana Kamberov (yana2 at pennmedicine.upenn.edu). Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in biology or a related field. For more information on the lab please visit our homepage: https://www.kamberovlab.com/
