The Organogenesis and Cancer Program at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) is recruiting for 2025!
The Program is comprised of six labs, and around 50 staff and students, from 20 countries. Our research uses live imaging of cells and molecules, genomics, genetics, molecular biology, proteomics and metabolomics in flies, fish, mice and human tissues. Peter Mac is based in Parkville, in central Melbourne, within Australia’s largest biomedical precinct.
Interested students should be competitive for International scholarships, offered by the Australian Government and administered through the University of Melbourne.
The labs and their research interests are:
Louise Cheng – stem cells, inter-organ crosstalk and cancer cachexia
Andrew Cox – cellular metabolism, organ growth and liver cancer
Najoua Laloui – cell death, RIP kinase signalling, immunity and cancer
Sarah Russell – T cell development, cell fate choice and immunity
Ben Hogan – lymphatic development, vascular signalling and blood brain barrier
Kieran Harvey – organ size control, Hippo signalling and mesothelioma
