Postdoctoral scholar position in cell and developmental biology

The Taneyhill Lab at the University of Maryland is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral scholar with experience working with mouse models of development and disease. Candidates will have the opportunity to join multidisciplinary and collaborative NIH- and NSF-funded research projects investigating the molecular and cellular mechanisms that regulate the anatomical development and functional integration of neural crest and placode cells, with a focus on the formation of the cranial sensory trigeminal ganglion. Experience with embryology (including animal husbandry, dissections, and explant cultures), histology, cellular and molecular biology, biochemistry, and confocal imaging is preferred but not required. This position requires a PhD or MD/PhD degree in a relevant area(s) of life sciences. Applicants must have outstanding oral and written communication skills with demonstrated productivity, be highly motivated and independent, and be able and willing to collaborate with other scientists and trainees. Salary is commensurate with NIH guidelines.
