Fully funded PhD opportunity: Applying a multidisciplinary approach to uncover the mechanisms underpinning successful regeneration of the spinal cord after injury

Posted by , on 14 October 2025

Location: Manchester / Nottingham

Closing Date: 15 November 2025

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to investigate the mechanisms underpinning spinal cord regeneration. This project will combine mathematical modelling, cutting-edge imaging with machine learning-based analyses and Crispr-Cas9 in vivo perturbation. The aim is to establish a robust pipeline combining experimental and theoretical approaches to integrate data at multiple scales that will allow us to simulate tissue dynamics and establish the parameters underpinning spinal cord regeneration. Fully funded – Open to students worldwide – Deadline 15th of November 2025 For more information, contact karel.dorey@manchester.ac.uk, osvaldo.chara@nottingham.ac.uk raman.das@manchester.ac.uk Or visit the link below https://www.findaphd.com/phds/project/bicentenary-applying-a-multidisciplinary-approach-to-uncover-the-mechanisms-underpinning-successful-regeneration-of-the-spinal-cord-after-injury/?p187350
