Posted by , on 13 December 2025

Location: Paris

Closing Date: 31 January 2026

The Mechanisms and Therapy of Genetic Brain Diseases team, led by Dr. Michela Deleidi at the Imagine Institute (Paris, France), is seeking a Computational Biologist to join an interdisciplinary research program on  brain diseases. Our work combines human iPSC-derived microglia, brain organoids, and organ-on-chip systems to investigate disease mechanisms and therapeutic targets. You will analyze high-dimensional multi-omics datasets and contribute to data-driven insights into neuroimmune interactions and selective vulnerability in neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative diseases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysis of bulk RNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq, and spatial transcriptomics
  • Integration of multi-omic datasets and public resources
  • Development of analysis workflows in collaboration with wet-lab and clinical researchers

Required Qualifications

  • Background in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, systems biology, or related field (PhD, Master’s degree or equivalent experience also welcome)
  • Hands-on experience with single-cell analysis (e.g., Seurat, Scanpy, ArchR, Signac, Harmony, Liger)
  • Experience with bulk RNA-seq and/or epigenomic datasets (e.g., ChIP-seq)
  • Proficiency in R and/or Python, version control (Git), and HPC/cloud environments
  • Ability to work with large-scale datasets and communicate results clearly

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with spatial transcriptomics
  • Experience with CRISPR-based screen data (CROP-seq, Perturb-seq)
  • Multimodal or imaging-based data integration
  • Knowledge of immunology or inflammation

Practical Information

  • Contract: 2-year fixed-term with possibility of extension
  • Start date: from March 2026
  • Language: English (French not required)
