The Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at Upstate Medical University is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor to join our full-time tenure-track faculty. We seek to expand into new areas of developmental and/or stem cell biology. Research areas of interest include vertebrate embryo development, organogenesis, stem cell behavior, and regeneration. Cutting-edge approaches—including iPSC-derived disease models, mammalian organoids, quantitative live imaging, and spatial and/or single-cell transcriptomics—are also of interest. Successful candidates are expected to develop and maintain a vigorous extramurally funded research program and participate in the education of medical and graduate students.

Details of this opportunity include:

  • Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent degree and postdoctoral experience in developmental biology or a related field.
  • Candidates at the Associate Professor level are expected to have an established track record of research funding and productivity and existing/emerging national recognition.
