Postdoc and Tech Post available: Wnt signaling, embryology, advanced imaging

We are seeking a Research and Innovation Associate (Postdoc) and a Research Assistant (Technician) to work on 3-year BBSRC-funded interdisciplinary project studying the cell biology of Wnt signalling. The Postdoc will be based in Matthias Krause’s lab while the Technician will be based in Karen Liu’s lab. Together they will work closely with a broader team, including a PhD student, on an exciting project spanning genome editing, biochemistry, Xenopus and mouse embryology and advanced imaging.

Wnt signalling controls fundamental processes in embryonic development and adult tissue homeostasis, and its dysregulation drives many cancers, including the majority of colorectal cancers. This project will investigate how the actin cytoskeleton regulates the trafficking and activity of Wnt receptor complexes, combining molecular, cellular and imaging approaches to uncover new mechanisms that control the duration and strength of the Wnt response.
