Biography:
I did my Ph.D. in zebrafish heart development with Dr. Debbie Yelon at the University of California, San Diego. For my postdoctoral research, I switched fields to work on centromere biology with Dr. Aaron Straight at Stanford. I love patterns-- in art, in words and in biology-- and with this switch, I want to zoom in on tissue-level patterns, to study patterns in repetitive DNA sequences.
