I currently work on understanding the mechanisms of limb development in direct-developing (no tadpoles) frogs and salamanders in a primarily paleontology (Fossil studies) lab.
At Harvard University I recently worked on insect ovary development and its effect on determination of egg number. I used cell sorting and genomics to understand the gene expression landscape in tissues of a developing ovary.
I have worked on evolution and development of insect wings during my graduate studies.
My general interests lie in understanding evolutionary mechanisms that bring about diversity of life forms.
