International Dutch Embryo Model Meeting

Over the past five years, major breakthroughs in embryo model systems have led to new insights into embryogenesis and clinical applications. To address the new scientific breakthroughs, the ethical dilemmas and societal challenges that these models raise, we are organising the International Dutch Embryo Model Meeting 2025 on 27 and 28 March 2025 in Nijmegen. The organisation, headed by Hendrik Marks, takes place in collaboration with three Dutch NWO PSIDER consortia (iPS-gametes, blastoids and gastruloids), the NWO XL consortium gastruloids and the ZonMW consortium blastoids.
This two-day event contains many talks selected from the abstracts that are interspersed with invited speakers, discussing the latest breakthroughs in embryo models and pluripotency. The conference is designed to promote interactive discussions at both the talks and poster sessions.
