3 postdoctoral and bioinformatician positions in mitochondrial genome regulation, 1 research coordinator

Posted by , on 29 January 2024

Location: University of Cambridge

Closing Date: 4 February 2024

The Cambridge Clinical Mitochondrial Research Group, MitoCamb studies the genetic basis and mechanisms of mitochondrial and rare inherited neurological disorders. We aim to improve diagnosis and discover new treatments.

The team is led jointly by three clinical neurologists, Patrick Chinnery, Rita Horvath and Jelle van den Ameele, who run a clinical and translational research program strongly rooted in fundamental lab-based and bioinformatic research.

Thanks to a recent collaborative Wellcome Discovery Award, and funding from the MRC National Mouse Genetics Network MitoCluster and Rosetrees Trust, we are now seeking 3 new colleagues to join our enthusiastic, multidisciplinary and ambitious research community within the Department of Clinical Neurosciences and MRC Mitochondrial Biology Unit at the University of Cambridge.
