30 new Strategic Academic Positions in the Faculty of Science and Engineering at QMUL

Queen Mary University of London is delighted to announce a second round of strategic recruitment within the Faculty of Science and Engineering, with 25 Lectureships/Senior Lectureships and 5 Readerships/Professorships.

These new research-focussed permanent academic positions will further strengthen our research power following an excellent performance in the latest UK Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021).

We are specifically recruiting staff in the following key research areas:

Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Science
Green Energy and Sustainable Engineering
Genetics, Genomics and Fundamental Cell Biology
Synthetic Biology and Biotechnology
Bioengineering, Healthcare Robotics and MedTech
Complex Systems, Gravitational Waves and Space Weather
Cyber-security and Communication Systems

These research areas align with faculty strategic research themes as well as the university research highways and governmental and societal priority areas. Our research is highly collaborative, linking with colleagues across all three faculties and supported by partnerships with industry, NHS and other stakeholders.
