The Saade team at the IBMB-CSIC (Barcelona, Spain) is welcoming application for a PhD position funded by the FPI scholarship, which offer a 4-year contract supported by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.

Research Background: The major research goal in our laboratory is to unravel some of the key mechanisms controlling proper neural development, from the centrosome/cilia axis to neurogenesis, in link with human brain evolution and disease.

Research Environment: The host team possesses a long-range experience in the field of centrosome/cilia signaling in neural development. The lab is renowned for its expertise in studying neurodevelopment in vivo using the chick embryo neural tube and has successfully established human 3D neural organoids.

The PhD student joining our team will have access to cutting-edge technologies and platforms available within the institute and on campus. The candidate will be supported by a lively environment among team members at both scientific and technical levels.

Your Profile: The candidate must have knowledge in cell culture, imaging and molecular biology. Basic Knowledge in bioinformatics will be helpful and commitment to a career in research will be considered positively.
