Graduate Trainee/JRF Positions @Organ Mechanobiology Lab | NCBS Bangalore

Posted by , on 18 April 2025

Location: Bangalore

Closing Date: 30 April 2025

Curious about how organs take shape and function? Passionate about cell biology, development, or biomechanics? We’re a brand-new lab at NCBS using C. elegans to uncover how mechanical and biochemical signals drive organ morphogenesis.

We’re looking for final-year BS-MS/Master’s students or recent grads who are eager to explore research at the intersection of biology and physics. You’ll get hands-on experience with genetic tools, CRISPR, live imaging, laser ablations, and more. Come help build something from scratch – your ideas, curiosity, and energy will shape this lab!

💡 What you’ll do:

  • Get trained in imaging and worm handling

  • Learn advanced molecular, cell biology, and biophysics techniques

  • Take charge of your own mini-project over time

  • Work in a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment

Ideal for curious minds aiming for a research career or PhD. Prior experience is great but not a must.
Preference for candidates who can stay 12+ months.

📬 To apply, email [pritiagarwal@ncbs.res.in] with your CV, a short note on your research experience, and your long-term goals.
