Post doc position in neural progenitor cell biology and metabolism.

We are seeking an enthusiastic postdoc to join the Pearson lab at Weill Cornell Medicine. Our focus is on the role of glucose metabolism during neural development and how glucose transporter regulation directs cell fate decisions. We use transcriptomic, metabolomic and confocal microscopy techniques in mouse and human models of development. Applicants should have a PhD or MD/PhD in neuroscience or developmental biology or related field and demonstrate previous productivity.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team is expected. Strong writing and communication skills are essential. Prior experience in mouse husbandry and genetics, cell culture, immunohistochemistry and imaging are desirable. Interested applicants should send application materials including a CV that describes past research experience, cover letter and contact information of at least three references by email to Dr Caroline Pearson (cap4010@med.cornell.edu), Assistant Professor, Brain and Mind Research Institute, Weill Cornell Medical College.
