Postdoc position- developmental epigenetics in Nematostella vectensis

The Gahan lab is seeking applications for a Research Ireland funded postdoc position. The group work on gene regulation and chromatin in the context of animal development and evolution. Projects in the lab utilize different model organisms (choanoflagellates and Nematostella) and deploy a combination of techniques including genome-wide profiling of chromatin and transcription (ChIPseq, RNAseq etc), microscopy, transgenesis and advanced genome editing via CRISPR-Cas9. The exact project direction is flexible but will focus on understanding the role of chromatin regulators during development and cell differentiation in Nematostella.
