Postdoc position – Regulation of epithelial branching morphogenesis

The Koledova Lab at Masaryk University is looking for a passionate, intellectually curious postdoctoral scientist with an interest in developmental biology and mechanobiology. Potential projects focus on regulation of mammary epithelial branching morphogenesis and epithelial cell fates by signaling dynamics and mechanical forces. The experimental approaches of our interdisciplinary team include mouse genetics, organoids, biosensors, state-of-the-art imaging techniques, and mathematical modeling.

Candidates should be highly motivated and independent, with expertise in developmental, cell or cancer biology. Candidates with hands-on experience in mouse genetics, organoids, live cell imaging, image analysis or bioinformatic skills are particularly welcome. Importantly, to be eligible for this position, the candidate should have received a PhD (or its equivalent) within the last 7 years and have a publishing record.

The Koledova Lab is a member of the Department of Histology and Embryology at the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. We are closely affiliated with the Central European Institute of Technology, which offers excellent facilities, opportunities for training and cross-disciplinary collaborations. We have active international collaborations with top experts in their field at several excellent international institutions. The applicant shall submit:

  • a CV including a list of publication activity;
  • a motivation letter, including a short description of research focus and topic of the candidate will work on, and justification of the need considering the field;
  • contact information of at least two references (name, position, telephone number);
  • a diploma (recognition for diplomas from foreign institutions);
  • documents proving the candidate has worked at least 2 whole years in the last 3 years outside the Czech Republic and/or PhD diploma from a foreign institution

A review of applications will commence immediately after the deadline. Short-listed candidates will be invited for interview within one month of the deadline.
