Position: postdoc/predoc research contract (“Assegno di ricerca”)

Keywords: zebrafish, neurodegeneration, autophagy

Project description: “Investigating new in vivo model and unexplored molecular pathways underlying Ataxia Telangiectasia disease”, funded by Italian Ministry of University and Research (PRIN 2022), Principal Investigator Prof Chiara Gabellini. The main goal of the project is to study the involvement of autophagy in the pathogenesis of Ataxia Telangiectasia, using the teleost zebrafish as animal model.

Duration: 18 months

Where: Unit of Cell and Developmental Biology, Department of Biology, University of Pisa, Italy (Directions)

Preferrable training, technical & skills: PhD in a Biology related science or 2-3 years research activity in the field of zebrafish-based disease modelling. Basic molecular biology techniques (qPCR, Western Blot), fluorescence microscopy, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing techniques.
