One Postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Biotechnology and Biosciences of the University of Milan-Bicocca to work on circuit formation in the visual system. The project focuses on the gene regulatory networks that control how neurons in different components of the visual system, in particular in the visual thalamus, differentiate and how retina-thalamus-cortex projections are established.
We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Developmental Biology, Neuroscience or related fields and molecular biology skills. Expertise in mouse genetics, primary neuronal cultures, immunofluorescence and basic histology will be highly appreciated. The project is funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (PRIN2022), will involve international collaborations and the use of cutting-edge techniques like CUT&RUN, spatial omics and sc-RNAseq.
Interview: arranged with selected candidates
Duration: 22 months with possibility of extension
