Postdoctoral position Maître lab at the Institut Curie

 

Location:
The Institut Curie, situated in the center of Paris, is an internationally renowned research institution bringing together physicists, chemists, biologists, bioinformaticians and clinicians.

Position:
Jean-Léon Maître, head of the “Mechanics of mammalian development” team (), is seeking a postdoc with a strong interest in interdisciplinary research.

The candidate will study the morphogenetic events occurring before implantation of the mammalian embryo, using approaches at the interface between biology and physics. The candidate’s work will include developmental biology techniques with recovery, culture and manipulation of mouse embryos; biophysical techniques such as high-resolution microscopy, optical tweezers and microfluidics; data and image analysis.

Skills:
Prior experience with mouse handling, advanced microscopy, and/or image analysis will be extremely valuable, but on-the-job training will be provided.The ideal candidate should feel comfortable working in an interdisciplinary and international environment.

Aiming to start in early 2022, the position is funded by the ANR for 24 months initially but prolongation will be possible.
