A position as postdoctoral research associate is available in the Streit lab at King’s College London to work on cell fate decisions in the sensory nervous system of the vertebrate head. The project focuses on the gene regulatory circuits that control how sense organ progenitors acquire their identity.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated candidate holding a PhD in developmental biology, with strong molecular biology skills including transcriptomic and epigenomic approaches. Expertise in computational and bioinformatics approaches will be of advantage. The candidate should have an excellent academic track record, be committed to a scientific career and will be keen to work in an interdisciplinary team. The project itself offers many training opportunities in cutting-edge biomedical science, while King’s provides a broad range of training activities and career development opportunities.
The Centre for Craniofacial & Regenerative Biology is one of the leading centres for Craniofacial Biology worldwide with research focusing on craniofacial and stem cell biology, innovative approaches to regeneration and repair and big data approaches to understand the complexity of development and disease. It offers a vibrant, collaborative, and interactive research environment in the heart of London.
