Join a BBSRC-funded consortium aiming to understand how the human heart develops – you will be contributing multimodal single cell & spatial transcriptomics data using zebrafish and human cardiac organoids as models. Key responsibilities: • lead cross-species comparative studies of heart development, with a focus on zebrafish • engineer human cardiac organoid systems • conduct multimodal single cell and spatial transcriptomics experiments • perform CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing of developmental regulators

What we are looking for: •PhD (or near completion) in devbio, cardiovascular, genomics or related field •molecular/cellular biology/genomics expertise •can work independently & contribute intellectual input to project •bonus points for cardiovascular, zebrafish or organoid expertise!
