Postdoctoral position in developmental biology & single-cell genomics

A funded postdoctoral position is available at the Institut de Biologie Paris-Seine (IBPS), Sorbonne University/CNRS/INSERM, to investigate how molecular and cellular interactions drive the formation of the olfactory organ in zebrafish.

The project, part of the ANR OPEN programme, combines single-cell transcriptomics, bioinformatics, zebrafish genetics and high-resolution live imaging to uncover how specialised skin cells and olfactory placodal cells interact during epithelial remodelling and organ morphogenesis to form the olfactory orifice.

We are looking for an enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher with strong expertise in transcriptomics and bioinformatics, ideally with experience in single-cell RNA-seq. Experience with zebrafish, molecular biology or imaging would be a plus.

The position is based in Paris, France, within the IBPS / Dev2A unit, and offers an interdisciplinary environment combining developmental biology, genomics, quantitative imaging and mechanobiology.

The position is expected to start in January 2027 and will be funded for 12 months, with the possibility of a one-year extension.
