Job type: Postdoc

Location: University of Georgia, US

Closing Date: 31 July 2021

Postdoc opportunity at the University of Georgia, USA.

The Moore Lab is looking for a postdoc for our project exploring the role of the maintenance DNA methyltransferase, DNMT1, in milkweed bugs and whiteflies. Our lab has previously shown that this enzyme is required for gametogenesis and we are now investigating mechanisms by which it acts. We would particularly like to recruit someone to the lab who has a strong background in development to complement the existing strengths in the lab. The Moore Lab works to be a welcoming and inclusive work environment, and the Department of Entomology at UGA provides a vibrant research environment. Salary will be on the NIH pay scale and the duration of the post will be from 2-3 years.

See https://site.caes.uga.edu/trishjmoorelab/research/ for more information and relevant background. Contact Dr. Trish Moore at pjmoore@uga.edu if you have any questions. Applications will be accepted until a suitable candidate is identified. https://www.ugajobsearch.com/postings/203762.
