Postdoctoral Research Associate in Developmental Signalling
Posted by Hilary Ashe, on 16 March 2023
Location: University of Manchester, UK
Closing Date: 23 March 2023
A postdoctoral research associate position is available in Hilary Ashe’s lab at the University of Manchester. The BBSRC funded position is available to study the extracellular regulation of BMP signalling in the Drosophila embryo. This project, which represents a collaboration between the Ashe and Baldock labs, will use cutting-edge approaches to study the function and localisation of extracellular BMP regulators. This research will capitalise on previous research in the Ashe lab that has uncovered mechanisms of BMP signal reception and interpretation (e.g. Frampton et al, Bio Open 2022; Hoppe et al, Dev Cell 2020; Wilcockson et al, Dev Cell 2019). The Ashe and Baldock labs are part of larger, vibrant research groupings and located in a modern research building, supported by excellent core facilities. For further details of research within the Ashe lab, see: https://ashelab.com/ The post is for 18 months initially. You should hold or be working towards a PhD in a biological science or equivalent, be highly motivated and have an interest in developmental signalling.
Informal enquiries should be directed to Hilary Ashe, hilary.ashe@manchester.ac.uk
