6th International Chick Conference
Posted by Megan Davey, on 6 May 2011
Can I just bring to eveyone’s attention that the 6th International Chick Conference is now to be held at The Roslin Insititute, UK. Sept 17-20, 2011.
This forum often attracts a strong developmental biology contingent and we anticipate the 2011 conference will include many relevant themes (e.g Morphogenesis; Organogenesis; Patterning, Cell Fates and Organizers; Genetic manipulation of chickens;Imaging and Image Analysis). Not only that but this is the first conference to be held at the new and beautiful Roslin Building, in the stunning location of the Pentland hills of Edinburgh.

Thanks

Thanks so much for this information! It was going to be hard to justify the expense of going to Japan – unfortunately, this is still high conference season, and those few developmental biologists who are also interested in pigment cells might, as I am, be going to the International Pigment Cell Conference in Bordeaux from September 20th – 24th…
Glad to hear the meeting found a new location! I’ll update the info on the Node events calendar accordingly.
I see you added it already – perfect! I just removed the Sendai entry from the calendar to avoid confusion.
I just wanted to say that the Sendai chick meeting will still go ahead, although at this stage we are not sure when. We have started playing around with dates, so if anyone has a suggestion (for example coincident with the cherry blossoms in 2013) let us know.
