Lecturer in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics and/or Genomics

The Centre for Craniofacial & Regenerative Biology at King’s College London seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics and/or Genomics. Applicants should be early career scientists with an outstanding research track record and an excellent potential to develop an internationally competitive research programme.

The Centre offers an interactive and collaborative environment with research focused on craniofacial and stem cell biology, innovative approaches to regeneration and repair and big data approaches to understand the complexity of development and disease. The applicant will benefit from our established links with systems biologists within the Faculty, the wider computational community across King’s and the new Centre for Applied Bioinformatics. We are particularly interested in applicants who are keen to use their expertise not only to develop their own research, but also to develop collaborative programmes using computational approaches to understand biological problems.

Successful candidates are expected to establish their independent research group in the Centre, to contribute to our educational programmes and to training the next generation of interdisciplinary scientists, and to support the strategic vision of the Centre and King’s. They will have access to a variety of PhD programmes including our newly awarded, cross-faculty programme Multiscale Models for Life, as well as mentorship and career development opportunities. Depending on their research programme, candidates may have a secondary appointment with another department at King’s.
