Prof. Stefan Luschnig’s research group at the Institute of Integrative Cell Biology and Physiology at the University of Münster, Germany, invites applications for a

Postdoctoral Research Associate

(salary level 13 TV-L, 100%) in the area of

Dynamics of epithelial remodeling

This fixed-term position is available from the earliest possible date for the duration of two years.

The Luschnig group investigates cellular, molecular, and developmental aspects of epithelial biology using a broad range of techniques, including modern imaging approaches. The project is focused on the dynamics of tricellular junctions and on epithelial morphogenesis in Drosophila. Our laboratory is based at the Multiscale Imaging Center, which provides an outstanding research environment with state-of-the-art microscopy infrastructure (CLSM, spinning disk, SIM, light-sheet, electron microscopy) and an international atmosphere.

Your tasks: The postdoctoral position provides the opportunity to gain advanced academic qualification in the area of epithelial cell biology and tissue dynamics in Drosophila.

Our expectations: Applicants should be independent, passionate, and collegial, with a strong academic track record in cell or developmental biology, molecular biology, and/or genetics. Applications from candidates with expertise in quantitative imaging are especially welcome. Prior experience with Drosophila is not an essential requirement. The prerequisite for this appointment is a Ph.D. in cell or developmental biology or a related discipline. German language skills are not required.

The University of Münster strongly supports equal opportunity and diversity. We welcome all applicants regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic or social background, religion, disability, age, sexual orientation or gender identity.
