Located at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Center, in Melbourne, Australia. We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher who is interested in studying inter-organ communication in the context of cancer cachexia, using genetic tools in Drosophila and investigating these questions using human patient samples. This work builds on our recent published studies (Dev Cell, 2021, PMID 34473940, EMBO Reports,PMIDs 38014610 and 38429578).

Essential: recent PhD graduate, who has strong molecular biology skills, with a cell and developmental biology background, self-driven, and with first author publication/s in reputable journals.

Desirable: expertise in organoids, microscopy, optogenics, cell culture.

Start date: as soon as possible. Appointments will be for 2 years, with the potential for extension depending on funding, work visa sponsorship available.
