Postdocs – Human organoid models and Computational Biology

We offer 3 positions

Job description

We hire 2 wetlab and 1 computational biology postdocs for a cutting-edge lineage tracing project in development and cancer.

See https://iribhm.org/open-positions/

What we offer

3-year full-time postdoctoral position at IRIBHM, a leading interdisciplinary biology lab from the Universite Libre de Bruxelles, Brussels, Belgium. Starting from 01/01/2023.

Be a major actor in an ambitious project involving:

  • Genetic lineage tracing in thyroid development and cancer progression
  • Cutting edge experimental models, assays and computations
  • An interdisciplinary team with high-level bench and computational expertise

The labs of Costagliola, Detours and Tarabichi are a wetlab and two computational research labs, respectively. The teams focus on organoid model development, transcriptomics, genomics, and image analysis to study thyroid somatic evolution and initiation. Together we combine these wet lab and computational skills to study the development of thyroid cancer.

The labs are located in the Brussels municipality of Anderlecht at the IRIBHM (https://iribhm.org/), which is sitting on the Erasmus campus, also hosting the largest hospital in Brussels (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erasmus_Hospital) as well as the Bordet Institute, a world-renowned cancer center (https://www.bordet.be/en).
