Post doc position  – Cardoso Lab at the Columbia Center for Human Development (CCHD), Columbia University.

A postdoctoral position is available immediately at the Cardoso Lab at the Columbia Center for Human Development, Department of Medicine (http://cardosolab.org), to investigate SARS-CoV-2 -host interactions in the respiratory system.

We are looking for candidates (MD, PhD or both) with skills in cell culture, immunofluorescence/confocal microscopy, flow cytometry and single cell analysis approaches. Candidates with experience in bioinformatics are strongly encouraged to apply, although not a requirement.

The successful candidate will conduct studies to identify targets of SARS-CoV-2 in the airway epithelium and drug screens to revert viral-induced cellular changes. The project is an ongoing multidisciplinary collaborative effort with laboratories at  Columbia University and Mount Sinai NYC where relevant methodologies have been established. Career development and networking potential opportunities in academia and industry are high.
