Postdoctoral Position to Study Cardiac Mechanoadaptation

Posted by , on 3 June 2026

Job type:

Location: Wynnewood, Pennsylvania

Closing Date: 8 September 2026

The Radice laboratory seeks a creative, motivated postdoctoral candidate for NIH-funded research in cardiac development and regeneration. We aim to understand how cardiomyocyte adhesion and cytoskeletal organization regulate heart function. Specifically, we examine how cytoskeletal adaptor proteins direct cardiac mechanoadaptation and growth. This position offers a chance to work at the interface of basic and translational research in a highly collaborative, friendly, and stimulating environment. You will gain experience with a diverse set of cutting-edge technical approaches in developmental and regenerative biology.

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. with training in cellular and molecular cardiology. The project utilizes a variety of genetically altered mouse models to investigate the role of mechanotransduction in heart development and disease pathogenesis. Experience in mouse echocardiography is desirable. Qualified candidates should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently. This position is an excellent opportunity to grow scientifically and to work with a dynamic group of investigators studying cardiac biology. The Lankenau Institute for Medical Research is conveniently located near Philadelphia, providing opportunities to collaborate with outstanding cardiovascular researchers.

Interested applicants should send a single PDF file including:

1) CV demonstrating publication of impactful work

2) Research statement – briefly describe past research experience and current interests

3) Contact information for three references
