Postdoc position studying stem cells and nutrition in Drosophila

Posted by , on 7 April 2022

Location: UCL

Closing Date: 30 April 2022

The Amoyel lab is hiring a postdoctoral research fellow to join the lab and investigate how stem cell behaviour is controlled by nutrition. We use the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster to study the genetic and environmental control of stem cell self-renewal and differentiation. This project will seek to address how and where nutrient-sensing pathways act to determine the response to starvation.

The lab strives to be an open and welcoming environment for all that values and supports diversity, and candidates from under-represented groups are encouraged to apply.

Applications are open via the UCL job portal. We welcome informal enquiries, please contact Marc Amoyel: marc.amoyel@ucl.ac.uk.

Closing Date: 30 April 2022

Scientific fields: Stem cells, Metabolism and physiology

Model systems: Drosophila

Duration: Fixed term
